Carlsberg

Carlsberg, headquartered in Copenhagen, has been brewing beer since 1847. Carlsberg designed a special red beer to match Liverpool FC’s football outfit for the 2019 Champions League season.

The campaign kicked off on Liverpool FC’s Facebook page with the post, “In 1964, we went all red. Carlsberg does.” Carlsberg sent a special Red Barley box containing a bottle of limited-edition beer and a video message from Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp to local Liverpool fans. They decided to create innovative hashtags like #allred and leveraged social media platforms like Facebook, and Instagram to get the word out.
